Where Chemistry usually goes wrong
Chemistry asks students to reason about things they cannot see. When the mental picture is missing, the subject becomes a set of rules to memorise — and memorised rules fall apart the moment a question is phrased unfamiliarly. Nearly every student who says they “don’t get Chemistry” is describing a missing picture rather than a lack of effort.

My child finds the mole concept impossible. Can that be fixed?
Yes, and it is the most common reason students give up on Chemistry. The concept is usually taught as a formula to memorise; taught as a way of counting particles, it becomes far more intuitive. Once it clicks, a large part of the syllabus opens up.
Do you cover the practical paper?
Yes. Qualitative analysis and practical planning are covered, including the observation and inference questions that are commonly under-prepared.
My child is aiming for an A1. Is this class suitable?
